Indulge in a peaceful family getaway at this beautifully stylish cottage with generous outdoor chill out spaces, located in the scenic, rural hamlet of Bryncroes on the Llyn Peninsula. If you can drag yourself from this cosy hideaway and the surrounding countryside, take day trips to coastal destinations like Traeth Porthoer Beach (5 miles), a stunning sandy bay; or Nefyn (8.5 miles) a coastal town which has a harbour, maritime museum and a headland golf course that’s uniquely picturesque. Abersoch (8 miles) is a lovely place to while away hours in the restaurants or cafes serving the likes of local seafood and delicious ice cream. Closer to home, refresh in pubs at the village of Sarn Meyllteyrn (1.3 miles) where there’s also a pottery studio and a local butcher that could provide for your home-cooked family dinners.

Enter this traditional white cottage and you’ll be immediately struck by the rustic styling throughout that makes the property feel so unique and welcoming. The kitchen features exposed stone, floor tiling, hanging bulbs and a new electric cooker. Share family meals in this cool area at the eight-seater dining table. Head through to the lounge to settle on the sofas or in the leather armchair with the TV playing. Wooden floorboards and a beamed, ornamental fireplace keep things cosy; while the big, glass door that leads to the conservatory means you’ll have lovely views of the garden from the lounge. The conservatory (which is unheated) is a lovely place to relax as a family featuring a sofa, coffee table and stylish floor tiles. Doors from here lead out to the garden: perfect for sunny social sessions. The ground floor is complete with a utility room housing a washing machine and a clothes airer; and a shower room with restricted headroom, accessed via steep steps from the kitchen. Head upstairs to find three snug bedrooms - two king-size and one twin - with further chic styling throughout. You’ll be impressed by the panelled bathroom with its luxurious free-standing, roll-top bath.

There’s plenty more space to make lasting holiday memories in the private outdoor areas, starting with the sheltered patio that boasts a table with chairs beside the trendy fire pit. There’s further chilling space on the raised decking.

We had a great week in a great location in Bryncroes. The weather was superb meaning we could enjoy all the local beaches. The traditional cottage is comfy and well equipped but with a bit of effort could be so much more to make it a truly memorable holiday let.
