A spacious, family-friendly cottage, enjoying several original features, is set in the open countryside near the Northumberland coast. It’s ideal for a large, multi-generational family or a group of friends. The town of Alnwick, with its castle, cobblestone market square and Lilidorei- the world's largest play structure, lies 8 miles away, while there is more history to discover at Bamburgh Castle (8.5 miles) which overlooks a sandy beach that will take you to the bustling fishing village of Seahouses (3.5 miles). Numerous footpaths also begin virtually from the front door.
Inside, the lounge, kitchen and dining room feature an exposed stone wall and vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, the whole area benefiting from underfloor heating. Natural light will pour into the lounge and kitchen all year round thanks to a large picture window and patio doors showing off pleasant views of the surrounding countryside, with most of the lounge furniture arranged around a wood burner. The cottage has four bedrooms: a king-size room, a double and a twin (all en-suite) along with a bunk room with facilities for home working. The cottage also has a large family bathroom.
Stepping outside, at the back of the house is a completely enclosed, sheltered and private courtyard garden with barbecue and rattan outdoor furniture for al fresco dining. Ideal for dogs and to store bikes securely after a day adventuring. To the front is a large lawned front garden with views to the coast surrounded by post and rail fencing including wooden picnic table, perfect for a relaxing evening watching the sunset.
