Property code: OC-CSN2

This gorgeous cottage, nestled on a historic street in the heart of Woodbridge close to everything the town has to offer, provides a very comfortable base for exploring the local countryside and coast. Explore the art galleries, shops, pubs and restaurants in town from this fantastic location close to the market square. Visit the famous Tide Mill, one of Suffolk’s most iconic buildings, a 0.5 mile walk away on the banks of the River Deben. See what’s on at The Riverside cinema/theatre or enjoy a meal out at its award-winning restaurant and bar, again just a 0.5-mile walk. Explore the stunning area on foot on one of the many local rural walks, including the trails around Rendlesham Forest, where wildlife sightings are common. Head out to discover the area’s gorgeous coastal resorts and beaches; Orford is just 12 miles away and Aldeburgh 16 miles.

The sitting room is the heart of the cottage with its blend of period features and modern styling, comfortable seats and a wood burner to ensure evenings in are super cosy. The kitchen is well equipped for even the keenest chefs, with a dining area to sit and enjoy your culinary creations. There’s also a rear lobby where the fridge/freezer and washer/dryer are, and the immaculate bathroom is on the ground floor too. The good-sized main bedroom is on the first floor, with a luxurious king bed, and the cosy twin room, which has reduced head height in places and views over the town, is up steep cottage stairs on the second floor.

Hidden away at the rear of the cottage down some steep steps is a beautiful walled garden where you can sit and feel surrounded by nature. The landscaping has created pockets of interest, with an abundance of wildflowers and a well-maintained lawn, complete with garden furniture and a BBQ to maximise your enjoyment of this peaceful haven.

A beautiful cottage and very well appointed. Just two downsides - the steep steps up to floors 1 and 2, combined with a bathroom on the ground floor ( tricky to negotiate in the night) makes this unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues, and, the on- street parking is challenging.

We love Wren Cottage. Owners have renovated and equipped it to a high standard. It feels like a home from home.

Well equipped cottage very nicely done up in central Woodbridge. Seckford Street is one of the nicest streets in Woodbridge with lovely interesting architecture. An old and quirky cottage sympathetically restored. We really enjoyed our short stay.

The steepness of the stairs needs to be better emphasised. The twin bedroom would not be suitable for children younger than 4 or so (in my view, at present) as theres no way of securing the stairs at the top to stop children attempting to go down them from the bedroom at night (similarly with the first floor). A note on the back door about the firsRead moret half of the garden being next doors might be helpful too as its not apparent until reading the (very comprehensive!) information about the property. Otherwise, this was a really lovely cottage and we had a fantastic stay. Hide

An exceptional location with proximity to the wonderful church and Market Hill enhanced my experience. The restful decor and furnishing contributes to a feeling of comfort, with original artwork making it memorable. The garden is delightful. The owners are welcoming and notably generous with the heating during my chilly March stay.

We were extremely impressed with the cottage. It had everything we needed, all the rooms had the equipment we wanted and it was so convenient for the railway station and of course the very attractive town centre of Woodbridge. An extra bonus was the close proximity of so many charming old pubs and restaurants
