This terraced cottage is centrally located in the charming market town of Beccles. Tucked away on a quiet residential track close to the River Waveney, it offers peace and quiet but is also within a few hundred metres of the town’s amenities. The historic town has much to offer visitors with a great range of independent shops, pubs and cafes. It also has a wonderful award-winning outdoor swimming pool, Beccles Lido, as well as a range of boating activities to enjoy on the river. Medieval Beccles lies on the Suffolk/Norfolk border and is on the edge of the Broads National Park, so there are plenty of great walking routes to enjoy along the riverside and beyond. Just 10 miles away is the Suffolk Heritage Coast with its many fine beaches, pretty towns and villages, and plenty to see and do.
The end-of-terrace cottage is set on a quiet lane where a step down takes you to the front door. Once inside, guests enter directly into a cosy open-plan living area with wooden floors and exposed beams. The comfortable sofa faces an electric wood burner and there is a dining table to one side below the front window. Towards the rear of the house is the compact kitchen, along with access to a courtyard. The modern family bathroom is also on this level and features a walk-in shower and a WC. Upstairs, guests will find the two bedrooms; an ample double room and a single, both with storage space.
To the rear of the home is a small, fully fenced-in courtyard complete with chairs and a table. This is a lovely spot to enjoy your morning coffee in the open air or relax on a sunny afternoon with a cool drink in hand. There is a further small patio to the front of the home, also set up with a bistro table and chairs.
