Aldborough is a pretty village in North Norfolk, close to the coast and with plenty of surrounding lanes which are great for walking and cycling. You can join the Weaver’s Way, which runs through the village, or venture over to Cromer (8 miles) for some seaside fun. While in the popular resort, sunbathe on one of its two gorgeous beaches, take a stroll along the famous pier or visit Amazona Zoo. There’s a surf school if you fancy getting in the water too. National Trust properties Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall are within 6 miles of Aldborough. You could also spend a day exploring Holt, the Georgian town 10 miles away, with independent shops, art galleries and antique shops.

Stepping inside this delightful property, you’ll be greeted by the welcoming sofas in the open-plan lounge/dining area. Boasting a Smart TV, wood burner, dining table and chairs, and dog bed in the alcove, this is the perfect spot to put your feet up and watch your favourite programme, or tuck into a tasty meal. Books and games are provided for when the weather isn’t great, or you want some quieter entertainment after a day of exploring the area. From here, step up into the kitchen complete with an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, and washing machine, with a door offering access to the garden. Completing the ground floor is the family bathroom with a shower over the bath, WC and underfloor heating. When you’re tired, head upstairs to the two bedrooms: one is a double with a TV and the other is a single with a TV.

A few steps from the property, you’ll find the enclosed, garden with lawn, which gives you a chance to relax with a glass of something chilled of an evening while soaking up the sights and sounds of your blissful surroundings. There’s a chance to enjoy dining alfresco, with the BBQ on hand so the chef of your group can rustle up something tasty. There is roadside parking available.

Lovely cottage in a quiet village location, updated to a high standard. Locals are very friendly, and the Cricketers is a very nice pub. Post Office stocks all the essentials you need. Situated here, you are just a short drive from loads of great beaches.

We spent a delightful, very comfortable week at Ivy Cottage. It was immaculate both in cleanliness and decor and the welcome pack of milk and wine was much appreciated.. Ivy Cottage is a beautiful property to unwind and relax. The location is fabulous overlooking one of the biggest village greens weve ever seen. Tranquil well equipped and a stones through from a cracking pub. Add to that a quiet enclosed garden and the fact that its very pet friendly, whats not to like?
