The River Deben (around 50 metres away) is a lovely place to take a romantic stroll. If you’re the adventurous type, there is slipway access (for a fee) into the River Deben where you can launch kayaks or a canoe, opposite the property. When it’s time to relax, head into the picturesque market town (half a mile) to sample the many delightful pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also art galleries and antiques shops for you to peruse at your leisure plus the town museum for your dose of culture. Fancy a beach day? Visit Aldeburgh (17.5 miles) with its Georgian architecture-packed town and colourful promenade by the pebbled beach; or Thorpeness (18.5 miles) which has a long, shingle beach.

The sofa faces the cosy, ornamental fireplace and the TV which has streaming service-access for nights when you fancy staying in and enjoying a film. There is a dining table and chairs by the window so you can eat and watch the world go by. The farmhouse-style kitchen has the same atmospheric beams and floor tiles plus a handy utility cupboard making this a welcoming space in which to cook. From the hallway, you have access to the courtyard garden. There is also a bathroom with a shower on the ground floor - a lovely place to relax. Steep cottage-style stairs lead to the first floor where there is a cosy double bedroom and a single bedroom with a sloped ceiling and skylight.
