This pretty, semi-detached cottage sleeps four and is the ideal holiday home for those seeking a tranquil trip. Set in the quaint village of Parkham, the location offers a traditional pub serving good food and plenty of stunning wild scenery. In just 3 miles you can reach pebbled Peppercombe Beach. From here, you are just 8 miles from the market town of Bideford where you can pick up supplies, hire bikes or spend a few hours in the lovely Victoria Park. The quaint fishing village of Appledore is also just over 9 miles away, offering a wealth of places to eat and drink as well as some independent shops and galleries to browse – you can even enjoy a spot of crabbing. From here, you can get the seasonal ferry across to Instow where you can get on the Tarka Trail and find miles of flat trails to explore on two feet or by bike.

You enter the property via an entrance hall with handy storage for coats and shoes. You then have the open-plan living room/kitchen/diner with two comfortable leather sofas, a flame-effect fire and Smart TV with DVD. For evening meals, there’s a round dining table and chairs that seats four and it overlooks the garden from the window. The kitchen has modern, painted units and grey worktops. It also offers a Tassimo coffee machine for you to use. Upstairs there are two really lovely bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom, as well as a separate shower room. The first bedroom has a king-size bed, built-in wardrobe and dressing table. The en-suite has a bath with a showerhead attachment, a separate shower cubicle, WC and his-and-her sinks. The second bedroom also boasts a king-size bed, plus bedside tables and a wardrobe. The shower room offers a walk-in shower, WC and heated towel rail.

The garden is fully enclosed with a lawn and patio area. You also have a table and chairs for al fresco dining plus a BBQ. There’s also a handy shower hose to wash off sandy feet or muddy boots. To the front of the property is a car port with space to park two cars.

The cottage is well equipped with a lovely kitchen where you can cook full meals. There is ample crockery and cutlery for entertaining if you wish. The beds and furniture are of wood quality and cleanliness is of a very high standard.

Lovely cottage, really well equipped ( and more so) and very comfortable . Secure garden area meant our dog could go out and stretch his legs and play which he loved . Parkham is quite remote with narrow roads but just a few minutes drive back onto main roads. We would recommend the Bell Inn in the village for food- wide menu, large portions, wellRead more presented and cooked, lovely staff and surroundings. Recommended places to visit Instow, Saunton Sands Braunton, Bude, Padstow , Black Rock Beach , Tamar Lakes and Fremington Quay - all dog friendly . Tarka Cycle trail can be picked up at Bideford as can the Lundy Ferry. We hope to return soon Hide

Totally enjoyed our stay at Wisteria Cottage. The cottage was very comfortable and extremely well appointed for a holiday cottage. The village has a good pub serving meals. Access to the village is typical Devon lanes.
