This charming three-storey cottage, situated in a Cornish seaside town near Penzance is ideal for a family or friends who want a traditional coastal getaway. The fishing port town of Newlyn is a great base for a holiday surrounded by impressive beaches, like Lamorna Cove (4 miles), while also having the convenience of local shops and restaurants. Spend a day exploring the local art galleries and ambling around the harbour (less than 0.5 miles). Take a day trip to Marazion (8 miles) to see St Michael’s Mount or the famous Penzance (1.5 miles). In the evening, enjoy some fresh seafood at one of the excellent restaurants.

Climb two flights of granite steps to reach the entrance to the imposing granite cottage. The living/dining room is a bright and airy space with streams of natural light pouring in through the large bay window. Put your feet up on one of the two soft and comfortable sofas in front of the gas fire and take in the impressive views of the sea which stretch as far as St Michael’s Mount. Behind the sitting area, you’ll find a wooden table and chairs to dine at with your guests – which also benefits from the views of the harbour. Inside the kitchen, there is a neat galley layout with monochrome tones running throughout. It’s a modern and well-organised space with plenty of natural light from the wide window. Also on the ground floor, there is a separate sunroom with a table and chairs which is an excellent space for some quiet time alone or to enjoy breakfast in the bright morning sun. Off the hallway, you will find a convenient cloakroom with a separate WC. Upstairs, on the first floor, there are two bedrooms and a family bathroom with a bath and a shower cubicle, so you can decide whether you’re in the mood for a long relaxing soak or a quick rinse. As you walk inside the master bedroom you will be delighted by the space and spectacular views from your king-size bed which sits underneath a chandelier. It’s the perfect layout for sitting in bed with a good book in the mornings or watching some breakfast TV while glancing out at the glistening sea in the harbour. The second bedroom with a double bed also boasts its own TV. Up another level, on the second floor, there is the one bedroom with twin beds which can be zip and linked to a super-king on request. This bedroom also boasts views of the sea.

Outside, there is a sheltered courtyard to the rear of the property, which has a BBQ and some outdoor furniture. To the front of the cottage, you will find a delightful decked terrace with tranquil views of the turquoise sea.

The view was amazing but the house was on a hill with several steps to enter the property . It would not be suitable for guests with mobility issues and parking was a nightmare

Kitchen plinth kept falling off. Self closing toilet seat would not open fully and kept closing onto one's back while toilet was used. Very hot front rooms ... no fans provided. General inside cleaning was excellent but the less regular jobs were not up to date: Dirty windows, courtyard floor needed a good wash and brush, white venetian blinds Read morevery dusty, furniture on deck very wobbly and worn, 2 cream leather sofas grimey and needed cleaned. Baby cot was grubby. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The shower was powerful and perfect! The white towels were thick fluffy and luxurious. Baby highchair clean and new. We were able to book Tuesday to Tuesday (not limited to a weekend start) that was excellent us. Hide
