Escape with your partner to this idyllic holiday home deep in the Cornish countryside down a traditional country lane. You can look forward to a tranquil stay in a stone-built annexe to the owner’s home surrounded by private rural land. When you’re not exploring your immediate area, you can visit the ancient villages of Quethiock (1.5 miles) or Menheniot (3.5 miles), or enjoy a day at the seaside in Looe (11 miles). Make a beeline for Golitha Falls (11 miles) to view spectacular cascades along the River Fowey.
The inside of this cosy retreat is unusual and atmospheric, with plenty of colour and interesting artefacts. In the main living area, there’s a kitchenette for preparing delicious holiday meals, plus a dining area. The lounge section comprises a Chesterfield sofa plus an open fire in an attractive stone surround, for getting cosy on a chilly night. Through the sliding patio doors, you can view stunning views over the nearby land. The bedroom and shower room are on a mezzanine you can reach via stairs from the living area. Thanks to a high vaulted ceiling and plenty of skylights, the space feels airy and bright.
You’ll have your own outdoor area with seating and a round stone table, the use of a BBQ, and access to 17.5 acres of beautiful rolling countryside with lakes, a summerhouse and picnic areas. If you’re lucky, you may spot deer and other wildlife.
