Ardley Cottages are a small collection of holiday homes. These lovingly converted barns are made up three lovely properties; Hedgehog, Squirrel and Badger. Offering a total of four bedrooms, they sleep eight guests between them and offer both privacy, for those wishing to be self-contained, and space to socialise. They offer a perfect base for anyone wishing to head out on foot across these picturesque Suffolk surrounds. The National Trust’s Melford Hall, where you can walk through the gardens and parkland, is 3.5 miles away, while Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, known as Constable Country for its connections with artist John Constable, offers a host of winding footpaths and is 6.5 miles away from this site.
Each of the three cottages offers welcoming accommodation and sumptuous sleeping space. One barn, which sleeps four guests across two bedrooms, has two storeys. Here there is a kitchen/diner with ample space for preparing holiday feasts and a lounge, where you can relax in front of films together on the Smart TV. A king-size bedroom and a twin, with zip-and-link beds that can be made up as a king-size upon request, and a family shower room are on the first floor. The other two properties are single storey. One of these has an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with exposed beams and a vaulted ceiling, where you can cook, dine and settle on the comfortable seating to watch the Smart TV. This retreat has a double bedroom and wet room. The third holiday let also has an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. It has a more contemporary feel, with a kitchen area with useful peninsula for preparing meals at and, again, a wonderfully welcoming lounge space, with Smart TV. This property has a beautiful king-size bedroom, plus a wet room.
Guests at all three holiday homes can step out into the courtyard to sit down to breakfast, lunch or dinner in the fresh air. This is also a pleasant place for chatting into the evening on balmy nights.
