This spectacular lodge has a distinctly Alpine feel thanks to its wooden walls and charming decked balconies. It provides wonderful accommodation for a large family or group of holidaying friends. You’ll be in Little Petherick, a sweet village boasting a 14th-century church and old granite cottages. The charming working fishing port of Padstow is 3 miles away; here you can explore independent shops and galleries before eating out in one of many excellent eateries, or pop over to Rock on the ferry. The stunning north coast, with its sandy beaches, is just 4 miles away.
Downstairs, there’s a huge open-plan living area complete with a well-equipped kitchen and a six-seater dining table and chairs. The relaxation area comprises sofas, a coffee table and a Smart TV so you can all chill out with a film in the evening. The space is adorned with interesting artworks and Cornish artefacts, with light flooding in through windows, skylights and two sets of French doors that lead out to the decked balcony. On this floor, you’ll also find the family bathroom featuring a cast iron roll-top bath, as well as a cosy double bedroom with French doors to the main balcony, plus a dual-aspect twin bedroom. A staircase from the lounge area leads up to the top floor, comprising a spacious king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, plus a welcoming snug with a Smart TV, a seating area plus French doors leading to a second, smaller balcony.
The main balcony is equipped with a table and chairs plus a sofa set with a coffee table. From the gravel driveway, which has a small pond and a picnic table, a concealed flight of steps leads down to a beautifully maintained rockery garden which is full of plants, shrubs, palms and foliage.
