From here, it’s easy to take a day trip to the pretty coastal village of Baltimore (8 miles), where regular ferries depart to the surrounding islands, including Sherkin and Cape Clear. Keen walkers will enjoy the nature trails around Lough Hyne (5 miles), and for a day at the seaside, head to Tragumna Beach (5 miles).
