The property sleeps four guests and makes a great base for couples or small groups looking to explore the rugged Cork coastline, including Sheep’s Head and Mizen Head (both within 20 miles). Keen walkers will enjoy the nature trails around Lough Hyne (5 miles), and for a day at the seaside, head to Tragumna Beach (5 miles).

The detached cottage has been beautifully renovated to create a stylish holiday home, with great attention to detail in the attractive soft furnishings and homely accessories. To relax, guests have a choice of either the elegant lounge or cosy sitting room, both set at either side of the double-sided wood burner. The main lounge space boasts comfortable seating to curl up in as the large TV plays your favourite film, whilst the adjacent sitting room offers more welcoming sofas to kick back in after a day on your feet. When it’s time to eat, walk through to the sleek kitchen/diner, featuring glossy units and all the equipment needed for a self-catering break. Completing the ground floor is a refreshing shower room and WC. Upstairs, two inviting double bedrooms await, both with sumptuous linen, soft lighting, and rural views, one of which boasts a delightful stained-glass window above the bed.
