Just 12 miles away is the vibrant coastal town of Kinsale, known for its colourful buildings and fabulous collection of independent restaurants. The town also hosts regular markets, and has some charming boutiques and galleries showcasing local arts and crafts. For a day at the seaside, journey to Garretstown (6 miles), where you’ll find a vast, sandy beach with sheltered waters for bathing.
