Situated on the Wild Atlantic Way in one of the most dramatically beautiful parts of Ireland, find pure peace and tranquillity at this characterful two-bedroom cottage nestled in a quiet location on a cul-de-sac road leading to the sea and a pier. This secluded spot between Carna and Kilkieran offers an array of scenic footpaths; keen walkers can climb to the summit of Cnoc Mordáin, 8 miles away, to be rewarded with breathtaking views across the mountains of Connemara and South Mayo. The landscape of nearby Carna (2.5 miles), nestled at the head of the Iorras Aithneach Peninsula, offers plenty of rocky landscape to explore, as well as the annual Féile Mhic Dara festival, showcasing art and craft exhibitions plus sea-angling competitions. Find pure serenity relaxing on the sandy shores of Moyrus Beach (5 miles) Mweenish Beach (5 miles) or Rusheennamanagh Beach less 0.5 miles away.

An entrance porchway welcomes you into the cottage and leads through to the light and bright lounge/diner, complete with a generous comfortable corner sofa nestled beside a large TV and roaring wood burner housed inside a gorgeous, exposed brickwork fireplace. Further through the cottage, you’ll find a contemporary family bathroom and stylish kitchen/diner that offers plenty of space for you to rustle up hearty feasts and dine long into the evening with loved ones. A peaceful double bedroom completes the ground floor, whilst the first floor comprises a generous bedroom nestled beneath the eaves that features one double bed, part separated by a partition wall from two single beds. This room has a charming sloping ceiling and a TV by the double bed, perfect for those lazy lie-ins.

Soak up the last of the evening’s sunshine by dining alfresco with the whole party seated around the quaint picnic bench in the lawned garden. Enclosed by a tall mature hedge, children and furry friends can roam to their heart’s content.

Cosy cottage in peaceful and scenic location. Close to small food shops and places to eat. Great location to get break away.
