This scenic, bright and airy cottage located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac offers a lovely setting for a relaxing holiday with family and friends in beautiful County Cork. Surrounded by countryside and mountains, with the coast in sight, this is the perfect retreat for all lovers of the outdoors and keen hikers. The famous Beara Way (2 miles) is great for ardent walkers, while Castletownbere (4.5 miles) has shops, pubs and eateries. Dunboy Castle (3 miles) will whet any historian’s appetite, while the beach at Allihies (6 miles) is an attractive stretch of golden sand throughout the year.

This smart and well-portioned property has been stylishly decorated throughout, with a blend of traditional and contemporary soft furnishings laid out across wood and tiled flooring. Like much of the bungalow, the deceptively large lounge benefits from plenty of natural light and is a comfortable setting for a family gathering. When stomachs start to rumble, walk through to the well-equipped kitchen/diner where you’ll find all you need to whip up tasty holiday feasts, which can be enjoyed either in this room or through in the sun-soaked conservatory/diner which boasts panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. When day turns to night, choose from three charming bedrooms, each with various sleeping arrangements to suit your group. Two sumptuous double bedrooms both offer an additional single bed and an en-suite shower room, while the cosy bunk bedroom, that the kids will love, is served by a well-appointed, separate shower room.

Outside, a delightful patio and lawned area sit just beyond the front of the property, complete with garden furniture inviting you to enjoy quiet morning coffees and al fresco evening meals as the sun sets. Even without local food and drink in front of you, this peaceful spot is ideal for unwinding as you soak up the varying scenery.

The cottage was a joy, with it's panoramic views, lots of space and lots of board games to keep us entertained. We would definitely stay here again.
