Welsh for 'seascape', Morlun is a beautifully renovated 4-bedroom holiday cottage in a peaceful part of Abersoch with breath-taking ocean views that truly live up to its name. Cleverly designed with a generous L-shaped living space on the first floor, this stylish holiday cottage takes full advantage of the incredible surrounding landscape with panoramic views of Abersoch, St Tudwal's island, Llanbedrog's headland and scenic the Llyn Peninsula backed by Snowdonia's iconic mountain range. The bright, open plan design of the living area creates a great social space for friends and family, and the contemporary beach house vibe makes you feel instantly relaxed. The first floor is complete with a fully fitted kitchen that's been well equipped with modern appliances, a spacious dining area with bench seating and a king bedroom with enviable views and en suite shower room. Leading off from the dining area is a wonderful private balcony area featuring glass balustrades and a large corner sofa allowing you to fully absorb the spectacular sights across both coast and countryside. What better way to spend your evenings than lounging on the balcony enjoying a cool glass of Pimms, using freshly picked mint from the enclosed rear garden while watching the sun set across the beautiful landscape. Downstairs you'll find 3 further bedrooms (1 with flexible sleeping options), a family bathroom and additional shower room that leads out to the sunny south-facing garden - very convenient for rinsing wetsuits and beach equipment under the outside tap before enjoying a warm shower indoors. 

If you can tear yourself away from the stunning scenery, Abersoch's vibrant town centre and wide sandy beaches lined with picturesque beach huts are just a short 10-minute walk from Morlun. There's a wonderful selection of local amenities and activities including boutique shops, local restaurants, and pubs, an 18-hole seafront golf course, regular boat trips out to sea and everything from windsurfing, sailing, paddle-boarding, and kayaking. The Llyn Coastal Path runs through Abersoch, offering scenic clifftop walks over to Llanbedrog and Pwllheli in one direction and across to Porth Ceiriad beach in the other. On days where you might fancy a drive around the Llyn Peninsula, nearby attractions include Plas yn Rhiw and Oriel Plas Glyn y Weddw Gallery in Llanbedrog, Glasfryn Parc and Funland Pwllheli. For some the thrill-seekers amongst you, take a trip to one of the various Zip World adventure sites located in Eryri - Snowdonia National Park -think zip-lining over abandoned quarries, bouncing through a disused mine and discovering new heights along a tree-top course!

Upstairs

  • Kitchen/Living Area: Fully fitted kitchen with induction hob, fan oven, integrated larder fridge/freezer, dishwasher ( with quick wash facility), wine cooler, microwave, kettle, 4 slice toaster, cooler bag and ice blocks. The open plan living/dining area is complete with L-shaped sofa, 3-seater sofa, two beanbags, Smart TV, dining table with bench seating and sideboard with board games. Large picture windows on each side make the most of the spectacular wrap-around views.
  • Dining - Large table , benches, and chairs. Lounge area - really comfy corner and 3-seater sofa, 2 beanbags so plenty of seating for 8, coffee tables, sideboard, housing board games
  • Bedroom 4: King bedroom with bedside drawers, hanging rail, hairdryer, two chests of drawers, mirror and beautiful sea views across to Llanbedrog headland and countryside views out towards Snowdonia. En suite: Large shower, WC, wash basin, bidet, and heated towel rail. 

Outdoors

  • Large balcony leading from dining area with comfy corner sofa and glass infinity balustrade to give uninterrupted views out across the sea and towards St Tudwal's island. 
  • Secure and sunny south facing garden to the rear with patio, large picnic bench and lawned area. Fruit trees and herbs - including mint for your Pimms! 
  • Double glass doors lead to the garage where you can store buggies, boats, or bikes etc.
  • Outside taps at the front and back of the house for rinsing sandy toes and beach equipment.

Gorgeous place to stay, we had a lovely weekend celebrating my mums 70th birthday. Very well equipped. Beds very comfortable and rooms well decorated and equipped. Only a 10/15 minute walk into Abersoch. Highly recommended.

The house is delightful, very well situated. An upside down house with fabulous 180 degree views. It was very comfortable & well appointed, for a relaxing holiday. Would definitely recommend to others

Perfect place to stay for 3couples as we each had our own bathroom. Very well equipped , even down to picnic set and cool bag. Centrally located with only a short walk up the hill, its worth it!! Beautiful views from the open plan living/dining area.
