This homely, two-storey property in Anglesey is ideal for a couple or small family seeking a tranquil getaway surrounded by nature, beaches and scenic walking routes. The property is located in the small, rural village of Talwrn. Just 1.5 miles away is a nature reserve with a wetland which is brimming with wildlife. The closest shops and pubs are in the neighbouring town of Llangefni (2 miles). With Talwrn’s location being fairly central on Anglesey, it is an excellent base for exploring every corner of the island. Head north for Parys Mountain (12 miles), and west for South Stack Lighthouse and Nature Reserve (21 miles). Or, for a dip in the sea, visit the sandy Red Wharf Bay (5.5 miles).

As you step inside the property, you’ll be greeted with a cosy open-plan kitchen/diner. The neat and compact corner kitchen has an additional peninsula with a breakfast bar next to the patio door. Walk across to the dining space in the centre of the room, where there is a table and four chairs. Behind the dining table, there are two armchairs, perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee and a book. Inside the sitting room, you’ll find a comfortable sofa and a lounger in front of the Smart TV and a wood burner-effect electric fire. Also on the ground floor is a bathroom with a shower and WC. Climb the stairs to reach the first floor, where you’ll find a landing with a coffee table and reading chair as well as the door which leads out to the balcony. The homely master bedroom has a double bed, Velux window, Smart TV and an en-suite WC. Inside the second bedroom, there is a single bed beneath double Velux windows.

As well as the balcony, outside there is also an enclosed patio surrounded by fencing. Here you will find an outdoor table and chairs beneath a parasol. Fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco with your guests.

Lovely cottage, the directions we got to find the location were really helpful. We had a great time in Whales and we plan to visit again in the future.

Lovely appointed property, nice quiet location within easy reach of everywhere on Anglesey. Can't fault it. Would definitely recommend it to family and friends and would visit again. Many Thanks.

Thank you for a great base to explore a fascinating and beautiful island. We were blessed with Mediterranean weather, but even without this we would have really enjoyed visiting all the prehistoric cairns, stones and forts, so rich on Anglesey.
