This light and bright ground-floor, two-bedroom apartment boasting calming contemporary interiors, just moments from the bustling harbour, is perfect for exploring the south and west coast of Cornwall. The most southerly working port in the country, Porthleven retains the character of an unspoilt fishing village, where you can explore the charming granite harbour and pier, plus enjoy an excellent selection of restaurants and cafes. Visible from the town over the horizon, take a scenic walk around Tregonning Hill (4.5 miles), an extinct volcano where China clay was first discovered in the UK and shipped out via Porthleven Harbour. At low tide, fish the rock pools for Moonstone or Giant’s Quoit, rock types not found anywhere else in the country. Discover Kynance Cove (14.5 miles), a tidal beach famous for its turquoise sea, white sand and rock stacks.

This ground-floor apartment welcomes you into an open-plan kitchen, dining and living room, flooded with natural sunlight from the patio doors framing the wonderful view. A large comfy sofa and armchair in the cosy living space are perfectly positioned to maximise the views. Behind, you’ll find a contemporary kitchen kitted out with everything you may need to cater, as well as a traditional wooden dining table for four. A beautiful apartment and a great location right by the harbour- we absolutely loved it. Had everything we could possibly need and bonus of jam and scones on our arrival. We were sad to go home and will definitely return in the future x

A wonderful, clean, modern and well equipped apartment and just around the corner from Porthleven Harbour. Excellent base from where you can explore beautiful Cornwall.

We have stayed at 1 The Monterey several times and love the apartment for its location so close to the harbour as well as being quiet, its the perfect size for us as a couple, has everything we need as well a secure parking space. We look forward to going back hopefully next year.

Perfect holiday, and even a minor issue with the shower was quickly resolved by your local staff.
