A marvellous base for discovering the beauty of the North York Moors, this Pickering property sits on the edge of the Dalby Forest and is within easy reach of further National Park beauty spots. Benefiting from a central location in this picture-perfect town, you won’t have to wander far to find Pickering Castle (0.5 miles), the town’s heritage train station or any number of popular eateries and drinking spots. The traditional steam train is a wonderful way to see the sights of this heather-clad moorland without exerting too much energy, the route taking you as far as Whitby (21 miles) on the coast. Complete with romantic textures and country-style fixtures and fittings, this ground-floor apartment is a real cosy cottage for two to hunker down in. The warmest and most welcoming spot in the house is no doubt its lounge, a room decked out in neutral colourways and featuring plenty of cushy seating solutions. The plush sofas are expertly positioned around a gas stove in the inglenook fireplace and Smart TV, the perfect spot for spending a night in. Head back through the entrance hall to gain access to the kitchen/diner, a farmhouse-inspired space with stone-flagged flooring and quality wooden furnishings. This light-strewn room provides a fantastic space for you to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner together. The accommodation’s offering is made complete by a lovely double bedroom with a bay window and wrought-iron bed and a luxurious bathroom with a walk-in shower.

A sunny rear courtyard offers a fantastic spot for morning coffee and evening drinks, complete with a bistro set and flowers dotted all around.

We loved this house as soon we went inside. It was very comfortable, with all the facilities that we needed. It was ideally situated in the town, so much so that we did have to use the car until we were going home. The owner wasvery welcoming and friendly.
