The 300-year-old cottage is steeped in history and once formed part of a large warehouse which was converted in 1816 to house newlywed railway construction workers. Wells beach is 2 miles away with delis, cafes, and chip shops galore on route. Alternatively, you can take the Wells electric beach bus from the centre of the town. There are activities for all, including the Wells and Walsingham Light Railway, Wells Harbour tours and why not try some locally brewed cider at Whin Hill Norfolk Cider. Within easy reach for wildlife lovers are Holkham Hall (2.5 miles) with year-round events and multiple acres to enjoy, Holkham Beach and Nature Reserve is also nearby to enjoy as well as Blakeney National Nature Reserve (7.5 miles), Cley Marshes Visitor Centre (9.5 miles) and Scolt Head Island (8 miles).
