Get together with friends and family and enjoy your own secluded setting in this beautiful, hidden valley. These two semi-detached cottages are located just 1 mile from the pretty village of Cemaes with its own village shop, cafe and pub, but also central to the market towns of Machynlleth (8 miles away) and Dolgellau (16.5 miles away). Snowdonia mountains and Cardigan Bay beaches are all within 20 miles. Alternatively, you can simply sit back and be inspired by the countryside tranquillity and views. Glyndwr's Way meanders through the farm, and this national trail will lead you all the way to Offa's Dyke.
Having been converted from an 18th-century stone barn and farmhouse, the properties retain many original features, giving them plenty of character. In the first cottage, there is a kitchen/diner with everything you need for an easy self-catering holiday - including a large table with eight chairs. The lounge has comfortable seating so you can easily kick back and relax to watch the TV or look further out towards the countryside, visible through large French doors. The ground floor is also home to a full-sized pool table in a games room which has another Smart TV and DVD player. Guests can make use of the utility room and garage/storage room to keep their laundry, bikes and outdoor equipment out of the way. Upstairs, there are three stylishly appointed bedrooms. One is a cosy double with an en-suite shower room. The second is another double with countryside views. The final bedroom is a family room with a super-king-size zip-and-link bed, which can be made up as twins on request, and a single bed. The second house is what would have been the original farmhouse. Its kitchen has everything you should need to rustle up delicious meals, alongside a table with five chairs. The lounge has a wood burner to snuggle up in front of, while the games room has table football, air hockey and a piano. The utility room has a washer and dryer in addition to a Belfast sink and storage for shoes and coasts - the perfect spot for muddy boots. Finally, a shower room completes the accommodation on the ground floor. Upstairs, is another lounge from which you can enjoy the spectacular scenery, including views towards Cader Idris. There are three charming bedrooms: one super-king-size (which can be made up as twins on request), one king-size and one single. On this floor, there is also a refreshing family bathroom.
A level, tarmac area surrounds both holiday homes. Outside the first property, there is a decking area with garden furniture. You’ll also find a children’s play area. Nestled behind the cottage is a large lawn area with seating. The second property has enclosed grounds, including a lawn area featuring an in-ground trampoline and a decking area with a table and sofa. The double gates between the two cottages can be opened up to create one area in front of both cottages.
