Perfect for families and friends, this grand coastal retreat in Norfolk sleeps 11 guests within the main house and four guests within the log cabin in the grounds. Enjoying a prime spot in the seaside village of Bacton, a golden beach is only 200 metres from the front door. Stretching all the way to Mundesley in one direction and Walcott in the other, this sweep of sand is perfect for long, scenic strolls or days spent paddling in the sea. Within half a mile of the house, you’ll find a selection of shops, cafes and pubs, or if you fancy an active day out, you could cycle along the Paston Way, explore Bacton Wood, or venture around North Norfolk discovering more seaside towns like Cromer or Sheringham, or head to Holt for some boutique shopping and great food, or hire a boat for the day on The Broads.

Make yourselves at home in the luxurious interiors of this spacious property. The heart of the main house (which sleeps 11 guests) is an open-plan lounge/dining room, featuring plenty of comfortable seating arranged around the Sky TV, as well as an upright piano and a large dining table with bench and chair seating. French doors open from here to the garden so on sunny days, you can open them wide to let the outside in. A contemporary kitchen/dining room has everything you need to cater for groups and boasts another large dining table, with enough seating for the whole party. The highlight of this stylish room has to be the quirky British telephone box bar! Completing the ground floor, are two double bedrooms and a bathroom with an indulgent free-standing roll-top bath. Head upstairs to the first floor and you can choose between four more elegant bedrooms: a small double suitable for one guest – with a raised bed accessed via a ladder, two bunk bedrooms, and a master king-size bedroom with an ornamental fireplace, glorious sea views and an en-suite shower room. There is also a family shower room.

Outside in the large, enclosed garden, is the single-storey log cabin. With a double and twin bedroom, a shower room, and tea and coffee-making facilities, this is a lovely spot for up to four guests to have some privacy away from the rest of the group. Also within the garden is a raised decked seating area with a fire pit, and a large gas BBQ beneath a covered shelter for year-round cooking. The cherry on the cake is the private hot tub for up to six guests and the ‘Beach Bar’ – a wooden lodge, up a couple of steps, with a bar area, a TV, DVD, and a darts board.

  • 8 bedrooms – 1 king-size, 3 doubles, 1 small double (sleeps 1 guest only), 1 twin, 2 adult size bunk bedrooms

As others have said, this is a lovely house and wonderfully close to the beach. We were there at Christmas and it was warm and nicely decorated. We only had one person using the cosy double and she commented that it would be quite cosy for two and a long drop if you fell out of bed! However, in general everyone loved this house. A superb weeks holiday in a beautifully equipped, comfortable and tastefully decorated property. It provided a base for trips to Cromer, Holt, Great Yarmouth, Horsey and Aylsham. Also spent a lot of time at the beaches. Other highlights were wildlife boat trip at Horsey windpump and also watching seals!

We have had a wonderful 2 weeks enjoying everything Norfolk has to offer. The weather has been extremely kind so we have made the most of the beach at the end of the road (it's so close and a great beach) and also visited three National Trust sites... we even waved at the King and Queen at the Sandringham flower show!

This was a perfect place for us to celebrate a 90th and a 40th birthday as a family group of 14. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated, with all the facilities and equipment you could possibly want or need. Everything is so close to hand: a lovely beach, an excellent pub, a good cafe and a good fish & chip shop. The hot tub was a major atRead moretraction for young and old, and was put to good use during our stay, as was the huge industrial sized barbecue and the well equipped bar which was an excellent source of entertainment in the evenings.
