A beautifully arranged cottage, this semi-detached hideaway is ideal for a smaller group of guests. Sleeping four people, the two-bedroom retreat is situated in Dromineer, a County Tipperary village that looks out over Lough Derg. The village has shops, eateries and children’s play equipment, as well as a beach with a water activities centre. From Dromineer, you can take boat trips out on the lake and along the River Shannon. You can also head off on country and waterside walks. The town of Nenagh is 6 miles away and offers a selection of shops and eateries. While you are here, visit the 13th-century limestone castle, with its unusual cylindrical keep. There is also a swimming pool, a leisure centre and a cinema.
Step into the cottage to find an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where you will spend most of your time during your stay. At the lounge end of this space, elegant yet comfortable furniture has been arranged to ensure you can enjoy the warmth of the wood burner as you watch TV and relax during your stay. There is a table and dresser in the dining section and the kitchen area has all the equipment and accessories to help you cook for your party. The comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs. These include a double with an en-suite shower room, and a twin. There is also a family shower room up here.
The garden is very much a highlight of this cottage. It has a generous decked area, where you can dine and unwind out in the fresh air, plus there’s a beautiful lawn for children to play on.
