This property, located in the picturesque village of Yoxford, is ideal for a couple looking for a peaceful rural retreat close to the Suffolk Heritage Coast. Yoxford is known locally as ‘the garden of Suffolk’ because of its location between two stretches of parkland. The property is located 5 miles from Dunwich Heath and Beach, just outside the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths. Southwold is only 10.5 miles away and has many independent shops, an iconic lighthouse, beautiful beach huts, and marsh walking trails. Walk the picturesque Suffolk Coast Path between Covehithe Beach and Benacre National Nature Reserve (14 miles), both of which are worth a visit. Every August, Yoxford has a highly regarded arts festival.

Open the door to the annexe and make yourself at home. You'll find a well-equipped kitchen with plenty of space for storing and preparing the delectable local produce you've bought in the village or elsewhere nearby. On nights when you want to stay in, prepare meals for two in here and dine together at the dinner table. The bathroom is located on the ground floor. Head upstairs to the open-plan living room/bedroom, where you can relax in front of the TV. When it's time to sleep, this room also has a double bed, with views of the beautiful garden and river to wake up to.

Open the back door in the kitchen and you will find a large, established garden, shared with the neighbouring holiday property. The garden is planted with flowers and shrubbery, leading down to the River Yox. You can fire up the BBQ and dine al fresco or head down to the riverside where you can relax and read a book in the bespoke gazebo or admire the waterside views.

Upper living/bed area is comfortable and is more than adequate. Kitchen area is small, seating for 2 is manageable, just. Bathroom could, perhaps, benefit from a refurbishment; a shower, rather than a bath: Otherwise adequate facilities! Although parking is adequate for 2 cars (Both lets) entry and exit can be an issue for some

The annexe cottage fall short of the comfort in the in the front cottage. We had a lovely time in Suffolk and we will be back.
