The pretty Cornish village of Crantock is home to two pubs which are open all year round offering a great selection of homemade food, and a seasonal café serving al fresco coffee and cakes by day, and cocktails and wood-fired pizzas by night. It also has a very well-stocked shop and post office. Crantock’s beautiful sandy beach is surrounded by rolling dunes, great for kids to explore. It's great for surfing, has seasonal lifeguard cover and can be enjoyed with family and your four-legged friend all year round. As well as having 2 seasonal beach cafes, there’s a surf school and watersport hire facilities available and the River Gannel is ideal for stand up paddleboarding and kayaking. For walking, there is easy access to the stunning South West Coast Path. It's a short drive to the popular seaside town of Newquay (3.6 miles), where you will find a bustling harbour, a choice of beaches including Fistral Beach (4.3mls), as well as a selection of shops, restaurants and pubs. Holywell Bay with its endless sand dunes is only 2.5 miles away and Perranporth with the only pub on the beach in Cornwall, is just 8 miles away.

Set in a quiet and family-friendly development, this modern home oozes coastal charm and provides a relaxing retreat with all the home comforts. As you step inside, you will be met with a calming interior, helping you to unwind and relax into your holiday. Head through to the lounge with its comfortable sofas (including a double sofa bed) for gathering to watch a film on the Smart TV. The open-plan kitchen/diner is a fantastic space, with doors opening onto the elevated decking - perfect for gathering together, cooking up a storm and enjoying the views of horses grazing in the fields beyond the garden. A convenient WC completes the ground floor. Heading upstairs, you'll find the master bedroom with a king-size bed and a contemporary en-suite shower room with a rainfall shower. The second bedroom also boasts a king-size bed, whilst the third bedroom has 3-foot bunk beds and a cotbed. Completing this floor is the modern family bathroom with shower over the bath and WC. For your comfort, there is underfloor heating downstairs, and the house is heated by an environmentally friendly air source heat pump.

Outside, in the enclosed garden, you'll find an elevated decked area with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ for dining alfresco. There's also a small lawn and access to a storage area in the garage where you can store bikes, paddleboards, surfboards and wetsuits.

This cottage is in fantastic location, mere minutes into the heart of Crantock village and just a few minutes walk to the beautiful beach. Very easy to commute to with ample parking. A lovely view of horses in the field from the garden and back bedrooms makes a nice backdrop when eating alfresco or opening the curtains in the morning. It was a Read morehit with the children. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into all accessories/appliances/bedding and utensils supplied. The little welcome pack is very useful and packed with information. Wonderful to read as you enjoy a tea/coffee and shortbread also supplied - a lovely touch. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We would definitely recommend and would love to stay again. Hide

This is a new build house on a small estate, so everything was very clean and in good condition. Nice sized kitchen diner and a comfy lounge downstairs. Good family set up with the bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs. The underfloor heating kept the whole house lovely and warm. Rather small garden. It should be pointed out that the metal guttering and Read moredown pipes are extremely noisy when it rains and we were woken up twice because of this during our stay. The house is very well situated for the village amenities and the beach. The shop is open every day, the pubs are very welcoming and the cafe looked really good too. Its a fairly short walk down the hill to the sandy beach where there is a car park and coffee, snacks etc. are available. There are lots of other great beaches nearby too. Hide
