Situated in a tranquil setting on the grounds of an old manor house, this former cart lodge has been converted into a modern holiday home for two. Surrounded by countryside yet close to the gorgeous seaside town of Aldeburgh (7.2 miles) this property boasts the best of both worlds. The village of Snape is only 3 miles away and has a great selection of pubs to enjoy during your stay. The incredibly popular, Snape Maltings is also a must visit, with its array of independent shops, eateries, and performance venues. If you are looking for peace and quiet, then look no further than this pretty bolthole for your next romantic retreat.

This single-storey holiday home is the ideal escape for two guests. Step inside and you are welcomed into the large sitting room which has a roaring wood burner to keep you warm during the chillier months. The kitchen is fully fitted with all appliances and equipment for your self-catering stay but if you fancy a night off cooking, there are plenty of lovely pubs and restaurants in neighbouring Snape or Aldeburgh to try. A generous bedroom offers a king-size bed for your stay and with use of a modern shower room too.

Comfy cpttage in great location. Very quiet. Kitchen a bit tired but all works well. Well equipped although the lack of a tin opener frustrated us one day but this was resolved by friendly neighbour.

The property is well situated for the coastal parts of Suffolk and on the edge of farmland. First impressions around the entrance door are not favourable because it is quite scruffy. Cottage very clean , well equipped and spacious. The only shortcoming as mentioned above is lack of comfortable seating in the lounge. Still 9 marks out of ten!

Nice cottage approached along a very rural bumpy track, you are definitely in the countryside here. Large accommodation with good shower and comfortable bed. Small fenced off garden for our furry friend. Well equipped kitchen. The cottage looks as if its had a long hard season and could do with a bit of tlc.

We had a relaxing peaceful stay at The Cartshed. The accommodation was very comfortable with all required facilities and more. The location was quiet and there were some lovely walks to have with our little dog straight from the door. We enjoyed watching some of the old movies on the good selection of DVDs. We loved the Cart Shed as it was all on one level as my husband has bad mobility and a walk in shower. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and we had lovely walks from the house.
