Higher Court is a beautifully renovated barn in North Devon. The hosts made us feel extremely welcome and were on hand to help with any issues. The bedrooms were comfortable and each having an en-suite was a real bonus. We really enjoyed our stay as the cottage was super cosy with lovely views from the rear garden across the farm.

was a lovely host and we really appreciated the welcome package with eggs, bacon, bread and a homemade cake. The cottage is very clean and nicely appointed, having a washer and dryer proved very useful. The location is very peaceful and we really enjoyed the silence and just hearing the sound of birds and the rustling of the trees. The countryside Read moreis also very inviting to do some walks along the country lanes. South Molton is a brisk walk away and offers nice tea rooms and small shops. The market twice a week is also a nice place to visit and for all other necessities there is a Sainsburys in town which we found to be well stocked. I can highly recommend this cottage and they are adding a games room on the farmyard which will be a nice addition. Hide

Accommodation was excellent and unusual to find 3 good size bedrooms with lovely en-suites. Very peaceful location with no disturbance from farming activities. Surrounding lanes are narrow but we experienced little traffic. Very enjoyable stay and the welcome pack was excellent, especially the home baked sponge! Thank you.

We had a lovely relaxing week at Higher Court and we were lucky to be the first guests to stay at the property. We found that the communication and hospitality from the owner was excellent, with some thoughtful goodies provided for us on our arrival. The information pack was comprehensive and detailed, covering the history of the building, the locaRead morel area and suggestions of places to visit. The property itself was finished to a very high standard, with a well equipped kitchen, lovely bathrooms and everything you could possibly need. The property is on a working farm but this didnt interfere in any way with our stay and we liked seeing the various animals who live there, including the roaming ducks and chickens who were of great interest to our dog as she watched them from the upstairs window! The garden was a good size and our dog enjoyed exploring and watching the visiting rabbits in the morning, and if youre lucky enough in the evenings, you might see a bat fly over. The lanes surrounding the property are narrow however they are extremely quiet and we had no problems with traffic coming the other way so dont be put off by this. Hide
