Located on the Suffolk coast, you’ll be prime position to enjoy watching sunrises out to sea. Now that you’re up and about, there’s plenty to do until sunset. One of the most popular things to do is visit Africa Alive! Zoological Reserve (2 miles) where there are over 100 acres of countryside housing more than 1,000 animals including rhinos, giraffes, and meerkats. Lowestoft is only 7 miles to the north; time it right and you can be there for their annual film festival. Heading in the other direction, Southwold is 9 miles away and offers a traditional seaside day out. Visit the lighthouse and then take your time on the pier where the shops, eateries and arcades will eat up plenty of your day. If you plan to get into the water, head to Oulton Broad (6 miles) where you’ll have a choice of water sports right at the gateway to the Broads National Park.
This cosy lodge for three is the ideal coastal getaway for a couple or small family and boasts wonderful sea views as soon as you walk through the door. You are welcomed into a galley kitchen which is fully equipped for your stay and leads through to the living/dining area where you can snuggle up by the wood burner in the cooler months or watch the world go by through the large panoramic window. There are two bedrooms, one double and one single with use of a shared family bathroom.
The enclosed garden has a wooden deck with dining table and chairs, as well as a lovely wooden swing seat perfect for morning coffees watching the sea and sunrise. You can also bring your dog along for the holiday too and with the lodge only a stone's throw from the beach, they can be chasing the waves in no time!
