Enjoy a stroll around the local shops, pubs and art galleries or homemade Sri Lankan curry on the beach as the sun starts to set. The Victorian seaside town of Ilfracombe is only 1.5 miles away and from here you can take fishing trips and boat trips along the stunning coastline and see the local sea life, including seals, or head over to Lundy Island onboard the MS Oldenburg. Venture a bit further (12 miles) to the magical Exmoor National Park with its moorlands and woodland walks and abundance of wildlife and Exmoor ponies.

As you step into this character property that is believed to date back to the 1500s and was once a Devon longhouse, you will appreciate the renovation that it has undergone to make this into a beautiful quirky holiday let. There are 2 lounges with stone inglenook fireplaces with wood burners and Smart TVs where you can snuggle up and enjoy relaxing and catching up on a favourite movie or box set with friends or family. As you walk through this longhouse, you will come to the dining room with a warming wood burner where you can enjoy socialising with a hearty breakfast or evening meal that can be prepared in the fully equipped kitchen. On this floor are a WC and a utility area with a large area to store pushchairs. Take the staircase to the 3 bedrooms where there are 1 double bedrooms, a twin room and a king-size bedroom with a beautiful ensuite with a free-standing bath, a walk-in shower and WC. Cottage is very roomy and comfortable and in a good location only a 10 minute drive from Woolacombe Beach. Dog loved the large garden area.. I would say that if you are over 5ft 8 , be prepared for the very low ceiling in the kitchen. If you are over 6ft, you may end up with a crick in your neck.

A superbly spacious and luxurious property full of history and character. We loved the huge fire-places, comfy sofas and having a choice of rooms to relax in. Everything has been finished to a very high standard and is well-equipped and comfortable. The area is beautiful with lots to do and see - fantastic coastal walks.
