This unique, detached cottage is situated just 50m from the famous Edwardian pier and beachfront which makes the perfect place for enjoying your morning cuppa down on the beach. Situated on Pier Avenue, this lovely property is ideal for families and is a great base for your next holiday, whatever the time of the year. From here, you are just a short walk from the vibrant high street, where you will discover a variety of renowned local independent shops, restaurants, markets, bakeries, galleries, pubs, and cafes and much more, all overlooked by the Grade II-listed lighthouse. Why not take a stroll along the seafront on the prestigious, environmentally friendly beach, with the charming characterful beach huts? This beach is ideal for swimming and is watched over by lifeguards (summer only). Visit the harbour, which is a lovely walk 1.5 miles away, and take the summer-only foot ferry across the River Blyth to the village of Walberswick (8 miles by car). There, you can explore the Blythe Estuary Reserve, which offers wonderful bird-spotting opportunities, go crabbing at the harbour and pass the time in traditional pubs, all the while creating unforgettable memories.

As you climb the wide pine stairs, you'll discover a further three well-furnished comfortable bedrooms; two double bedrooms and a single bedroom, plus the family bathroom and a separate additional WC.

When you want to enjoy the outside, French doors open onto a patio from the sitting room with a large beautiful private south-facing garden with lawn area, flowers and shrubs. This is a lovely enclosed private space to relax in a deck chair, have a glass or two of wine, play games or fire up the BBQ in the sea air. There is also an attached brick garage for storing your bikes and beach kit, with an outdoor tap for washing sandy feet, all accessed by a side gate or the garden. There is also a covered side alley, accessed from the kitchen to hang your wetsuits and swimming towels.

Summerville Moon is a very comfortable holiday home, within easy reach of both the seafront and the centre of Southwold. We had a lovely week with our family.

A lovely cottage and ideal location for our intergenerational family get together, even in February half term there was plenty to do. Would certainly come back.
