This characterful Grade 2 listed property, dating back to the 17th century, is the perfect base in a traditional Norfolk market town. Wymondham boasts many independent shops, a museum and a wide range of places to eat. Only a short stroll from the property is the 1000 year old Wymondham Abbey, the Market Cross and the Bridewell Museum, a former gaol. The nearby Mid Norfolk Railway, with steam and diesel trains running to the market town of Dereham, holds many gala weekends and events throughout the year. Just 700m from the property, at Wymondham station, is the unique Station Bistro. Wymondham Central Hall hosts a full programme of events, and the British Legion club is open to visitors and holds social and cinema events. Visit Bressingham Steam Museum, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, or Wroxham, where you can hire a day boat and explore the waterways, all within 25 miles. Complete your trip with a visit to Norwich (11 miles), a top shopping destination, along with its Castle, Cathedral and The Theatre Royal. A regular bus service runs to Norwich.

Upon entering this characterful cottage at the rear, there is a small utility and storage area that leads into a cosy shaker-style kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped and is appropriately stocked for those home-cooked meals you have planned. Moving down the internal steps into the living room, history reveals itself in this quirky sitting room. There is an original inglenook fireplace, comfortable seating and a dining table and chairs for all guests to enjoy a meal. Climbing the ‘Norfolk winder’ staircase, you are straight into a beamed, spacious king-size master bedroom with great natural light and interior. Towards the back of the first floor there is a comfortable single bedroom and a two-level bathroom.

If you find yourself in Wymondham and need a place to stay, then you cannot go wrong with Yeoman's cottage. We recently stayed there for two nights and were beyond happy. The cottage is a blend of old world charm with modern finishings. it is extremely clean and organized and the bed is probably one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in. ThRead moree attention to detail was fabulous. If we are ever back in Wymondham we would not hesitate to stay again. Hide
