Perfectly situated in the small village of Sidestrand, this traditional Norfolk brick and flint property is ready to welcome couples, small families and furry paws too. Sidestrand is a traditional, quaint little village on the North Norfolk coast and is just 1.5 miles from Overstrand, a slightly bigger village that houses local pubs, cafes and a beautiful coastline ready for a day at the beach or breakfast with a view at the clifftop café. The cottage is also 1.5 miles from Northrepps which also has a great pub for evening meals, as well as an abundance of countryside walks in between including easy access to the North Norfolk coastal path, with miles of clifftop venturing. The cottage makes a great base for wider North Norfolk exploring, with Cromer just 4 miles away, a great family day out destination with sights such as a zoo, amusements and the infamous Cromer Pier.
The cottage welcomes you in through the back door and into the kitchen, with a space to place your shoes and hang up your jacket. There’s a downstairs WC and a utility room as well as a spacious kitchen which is fully equipped for you to cook up an evening meal or a late morning brunch. There is a large farmhouse-style dining table and chairs in a space just set off from the kitchen that is airy and bright with natural light let in from a set of double doors giving access to the garden at the rear of the cottage. Through the living room, you get a real feel for the original farmhouse that the cottage has been adapted from with traditional interior design features such as original beams, pamment tiles and a stunning inglenook fireplace housing a more modern wood burning stove. There is also a unique, original bread oven giving the cottage its name. There is comfortable seating for putting your feet up after a long day exploring the North Norfolk coastline, and a Smart TV. Up the typically steep Norfolk staircase, there are two bedrooms: one double and one twin, as well as the main shower room. The cottage is mainly accessed through the rear lawned garden with a wooded area. There is a lockable shed space for bikes and beach equipment should you wish you to bring them.
There is a small gate that then leads you to the main cottage garden, which is completely enclosed, perfect for your little ones and furry friends. Through the cottage and out the front door, there is a hidden gem of a walled courtyard garden which offers garden furniture for dining in the evening sunshine.
