This "dinky" bolthole is perfect for couples or solo travellers and ideally located in the heart of Whitby, offering the perfect base to explore this stunning area and all that it has to offer. The property is located on historic Church Street, so you can sit and watch the boats drifting by with some local fish and chips. Walk along the cobbled street, taking in the local shops, galleries, and eateries, and head up the 199 steps to the Abbey, the inspiration for Dracula. Walking enthusiasts and nature lovers won't be disappointed either, with the scenic coastal path close by. Or venture further afield to the North York Moors (3 miles), with its lovely villages hidden among the wild moors.

Upon entering, you are greeted by the intimate and inviting downstairs seating area. Here, you can unwind whilst preparing a meal for two. The well-equipped kitchenette is perfect for preparing light meals and snacks, with all the amenities you need conveniently at your fingertips. The property boasts a convenient downstairs shower room and WC, ensuring comfort and convenience during your stay. As you ascend the small, steep ladder staircase, you'll discover the hidden treasure of the cottage, an enchanting bed deck with a double bed and TV. Although the ceiling is low, it adds to the cottage's charm and provides a snug environment where you can peacefully rest and sleep. A Velux window above the bed offers an opportunity for stargazing, allowing you to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Whitby night sky.

Outside, there is a communal patio area with bistro table and chairs for dining alfresco or enjoying a tipple in the sun.

Lovely little place to stay..had everything we needed and in a great location..lovely little courtyard to sit out..and car park across the road..we would stay again 100% loved it

Dinky Cottage was a lovely stay! The location is brilliant and the cottage was so cosy. It was small but had been cleverly set up to have everything we needed. It needs a few tweaks but I'm pretty sure we were the first people to stay and these can be easily rectified. We would happily stay again.
