My wife and I had trouble with the steep stairs, The stair hand rail was inadequate. It should have one that it is possible to grip all round and not a "pinch" type. This will inevitably lead to an accident. The parking for No. 4 The Vines was very confined. The car park bay was so tight that it stopped us from to go out in case we had trouble onRead more our return with two other bays occupied. That would leave it nearly impossible to park. I don't have a large car. The single beds in the second bedroom were not good for sitting on the edge of the bed whilst dressing The wooden bed surround is the problem. We had to shop for a scouring spung as there were none available in the Vines.. Only a small matter but irritating. Washing up after a meal is important to us. We cannot fault the location of No.4 but left the property a day early owing to the poor weather. Hide

Very good location for sea views and walking into town for the many good eaterys, however, parking is tight and the narrow road to the property can be tricky due to parked cars and van particularly at open times for the near by pub. Property has everything you would expect, good bed linen and towels, excellent showers. Bedrooms can be very light early in the morning as blinds are not that effective, not a problem if you are an early riser but we are not so a bit of an issue for us. Hide

The position of the cottage, overlooking Whitstable beach, is awe inspiring and absolutely stunning. When I entered, the property was bathed in light and the chic coastal inspired interior, a neutral colour palette, was absolutely gorgeous.
