Step inside this wonderfully spacious, welcoming, ground-floor cottage and you will delight in the sense of space and comfort within. The open-plan kitchen/lounge/diner is perfect for two and you can take turns to cook whilst one of you sits comfortably and chats, or lights the cosy wood burner for those chillier breaks. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need and the comfy sofa is perfect for relaxing after a day out exploring your surroundings. Walk through to the incredible bathroom that’s full of style and home to a rain shower over the bath and a lovely, heated towel rail for warm, snuggly towels. The bedroom is just off the living space and invites you to have the most relaxing sleep with a stylish, sumptuous bed where you can have long lazy lie-ins whilst also watching some TV if the mood strikes.

Outside, you will find your own private patio area with seating and a BBQ to enjoy some morning coffee or dine alfresco.

The cottage was the best equipped we have ever stayed at, even down to providing poo bags & treats for our dog. Spotlessly clean, really comfy bed & generous welcome hamper. Lovely owners, warm & welcoming. Would stay again.

A beautifully decorated and fitted out place for a getaway. Everything was to a very high standard, from the fully equipped kitchen, (great selection of knives etc etc), to the excellent bathroom and shower, (complete with bath sheets and toiletries just like an expensive hotel), to the extremely comfortable bedroom, (with plenty of storage space)Read more. Absolutely fantastic hosts. The bearoak was perfect. Everything was there that I needed and more. There was a beautiful hamper there on my arrival. Also treats for my dog. I had a lovely relaxing few days, and will definitely be back.

We spent five lovely days at the Bearoak Shippon and really enjoyed our time there. The accommodation had everything you could possibly need along with probably the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The bathroom is large and, in late April, the underfloor heating was most welcome. The owners are great hosts and very friendly and gave us Read moretips on what was happening and worth a visit locally. The neighbour was also very helpful with his local knowledge. We thoroughly enjoyed our break and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family. Hide

We stayed over the long Easter weekend, Lee and Simon (the hosts) were so helpful and friendly, the cottage was clean and well presented, they had gone to so much effort and thoughtful finishing touches, this cottage is a gem of a find and I will definitely be staying again, thank you Lee and Simon for a lovely holiday cottage

I can highly recommend The Shippon as a comfortable, restorative, refreshing place to stay. It is well equipped, cosy and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We love travelling to Cornwall and found the Shippon well located for exploring the North Coast. We particularly enjoyed visiting the fishing harbours and walking on the moors. Everything needed for an enjoyable stay is found in the Shippon. We look forward to returning in 2024.
