The North Mill and visitor centre makes for an educational day out, whereas the Belper River Gardens is a tranquil space amongst nature whatever the season with rowing boats available for hire during the summer months. Whilst sitting just south of the Peak District National Park you can explore the nearby sights of Matlock (10 miles) and Bakewell (18miles) with absolute ease.
