Property code: OC-1733

Situated in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Langham is a small village ideally placed for those who want peace and tranquillity. It’s a 2-mile drive into the coastal village of Blakeney where you can watch the yachts bobbing on the water or jump on a boat and spend the afternoon spotting seals. Alternatively, walk the 1.5-mile trail to the neighbouring village of Cley next the Sea. This village has a world-renowned nature reserve centre and is the perfect place to spot wild birds. For a day at the beach make the 7.5-mile drive to the glorious Wells Next The Sea Beach. After a swim be sure to enjoy some local seafood at one of the coastal restaurants.

A pretty courtyard offers a cheerful welcome to this former barn. Inside, this light and airy home retains much of its rustic charm with exposed stonework and high vaulted ceilings. The living rooms and bedroom are all located on one level, giving the property a sense of fluidity, while whitewashed walls and modern furnishings create a relaxed ambience. And it won’t be long before you’re relaxing on the huge sofa in the lounge with a good film or curling up with a book in front of the log burner. There’s even underfloor heating for extra comfort on chillier nights. From the lounge, tiled flooring sweeps through to the modern bedroom. Featuring a king-size bed, homely touches include soft cushions, a built-in wardrobe and artwork on the walls. There’s also an en-suite bathroom with shower and bath. At the rear of the property is the open-plan kitchen and dining area. Wonderfully spacious, this area is uncluttered and awash with natural light. The kitchen is kitted out with every modern appliance you’ll need for a comfortable stay. If the weather is good you’ll want to push open the doors and step outside into the neat courtyard. Enjoy morning coffee at the garden table or come evening, light the BBQ and sit back with a cool drink. But if you’re not in the mood to cook, the local pub is just around the corner and has a fish and chip takeaway service. The property also has a handy driveway with parking for two cars.

One of the nicest properties weve stayed at in North Norfolk, spacious and well equipped with a lovely oversized comfy bed all set in a lovely peaceful location far enough away to escape the crowds but close to the best beaches and pubs.

A lovely cosy cottage in a great location. Pretty well equipped, lots of firewood available for the log burner although not needed when we were there as the loveky underfloor heating was more than adequate. We will definitely be back.

Simons Barn is a warm, cosy and spacious accommodation for two people. The bed is exceptionally comfortable and the quality of the bed linen, towels, etc were excellent. The area is beautiful and we would certainly make a return visit.

On arrival, the front gate was very stiff to open and we found out that the top hinge only had one screw holding it on. Therefore, it was not secure for our dog to be left just in this small area. With us both in our 80s we found this a rather daunting issue when trying to keep this heavy gate in place and opening it. On trying to enter the securitRead morey numbers to obtain the front door key we found that the key pad was not working and the key was not secure as the key was easily accessed, we therefore took the key out with us as we felt the cottage was not secure. On using the actual key to get in, we also found the door was warped and the actual key lock did not aline with the door frame. Which in turn meant we had to lift and slam heavily to try to actually secure the locking device. Tap in the kitchen sink moved, it possibly could come adrift. Lovely kitchen, but not a single cupboard to be used for food ( that doesn't need to be refridgerated. All the cupboard space was taken up with equipment. In the bathroom the towel ring next to washbasin was not secure and came off into my wife's hand . Therefore, we think that a general maintenance of the said property should be carried out , especially for security reasons. Hide
