For avid hikers, scenic trails from the lodge lead to Little Petherick Creek, a favoured destination for nature enthusiasts, and onward to Padstow (3 miles), where access to the renowned South West Coast Path awaits. Padstow, a terminus for the Camel Cycle Trail, serves as an exceptional hub for exploring sandy beaches. The town is celebrated for its diverse array of shops and dining establishments, with a particularly popular seafood restaurant. Just across the water lie Rock and Polzeath, both within 12 miles, featuring pristine golden beaches and azure waters, complemented by a range of convenient amenities.
As you step inside this wonderfully spacious lodge, you enter an inviting and homely space, created from logs shipped from Canada for a truly authentic experience. The open-plan kitchen/diner/lounge is the ideal spot to relax together after a day out exploring the local stunning coastline and the well equipped kitchen will delight as you whip up a family dinner. The solid dining table is the perfect place to congregate and socialise and the comfy sofas are where you will all end up, snuggled in front of the fire with a family film to enjoy. On the ground floor, you will find two twin rooms and a family bathroom with a wonderful Jacuzzi bath and a separate shower. With its vaulted roof, a second living room awaits upstairs, with access to the balcony which looks out over a stream and meadow hillside, offering an ideal additional space to relax. Upstairs is also the master bedroom with a king-size bed and a handy en-suite shower room.
Outside of the lodge, you have a wonderful, enclosed garden which is perfect for little ones, as well as a ground-floor balcony. There is also a BBQ which is just what's needed to cook up a storm when the weather permits.
