This lovely, modern house is an ideal place for a coastal getaway. Cadgwith is a quaint and secluded fishing village nestled on the Lizard Peninsula – a place seemingly untouched by the fast-paced advancements of the modern world. Here fishermen continue the timeless tradition of pushing their boats down the beach, setting out to catch fresh fish and shellfish on an almost daily basis. The village exudes an idyllic charm, offering a captivating glimpse into a bygone age. Colourful thatched cottages dot the landscape haphazardly scattered across the valley. The village pub remains the social centre, where folk music and traditional Cornish singing can be enjoyed regularly. A short distance away is a treasure trove of stunning beaches. Kynance Cove, a mere 4.5 miles away, boasts captivating beauty, while Kennack Sands (2.5 miles) offers a serene coastal experience. Close too is the Helford area with pretty villages and coves to explore.

Explore this charming house from the parking area, where you can either descend a few steps to reach the front door or stroll across the lawn for step-free access. Upon entering, you’ll find yourself in the spacious and bright open-plan living area, featuring a contemporary style and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. This delightful room is thoughtfully arranged into distinct zones, featuring snug sofas and a plush leather armchair gathered around the focal point of a wood-burning stove. This area serves as the perfect retreat for relaxation where you can enjoy your favourite shows on the Smart TV with Netflix included. Entertainment options extend to board games and books, providing a variety of choices. The exposed roof timbers, underfloor heating and range of lighting options collectively contribute to the creation of a truly enchanting room. Continuing through to the modern, fitted kitchen, you’ll discover a fully equipped space with all the comforts of home. A sizeable dining table and chairs beckon for social mealtimes together. A door, with just a single step down, leads out to the terrace. On this level, you’ll also find a pretty en-suite bedroom, complete with a king-size bed with Emma mattress and a full bathroom equipped with a luxurious rainfall shower. Open the bedroom doors to the terrace and relish in the invigorating sea air. For those preferring a stair-free experience, the main bedroom and en-suite bathroom are conveniently situated on the ground floor. Descend the stairs, enhanced by built-in feature lighting, to the lower ground floor. Here, a twin bedroom, designed with a nod to the nautical location, awaits with beds that can be linked to form a superking if required. Additionally, there's a bunk room with full-sized beds and the main bathroom, offering convenience and comfort. A utility room, equipped with a washer/dryer and sink, leads out to the lower paved patio, completing the thoughtful layout of this delightful coastal retreat.

Enclosed and well-designed, the outdoor spaces provide a secure environment. A charming, paved terrace seamlessly extends from the kitchen, offering an inviting setting for delightful al fresco dining. Some shrubs and plants add a touch of natural beauty to the surroundings. Accessed via a set of steps from the upper terrace, but also directly from the utility room, a lower paved area features a wooden bench and simple planting, offering an alternative spot to relax.

Wonderful stay in this lovely, well equipped house. Ideal for our dogs who slept in the utility room & garden access was good. Warm & cosy. Used the local pub / restaurant which served great food.

The house was excellent and we had a great week here. It was warm, clean, and furnished to a high standard. We appreciated the Xmas tree, chocolates and milk. The property's position allowed for cliff walks, cycle rides and folk singing in the local pub.

An excellent and well equipped house in a superb location with the coastal path only minutes walk away. The facilities in the house were a very high standard and the 5 of us had a very comfortable stay. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a high quality base for walking holidays or for exploring the lizard peninsula.

Fabulous cottage, we couldn't have asked for more. Very well equipped and spacious but also homely and comfortable. The Smart TV and board games provided were a great bonus for entertainment on a couple of rainy October evenings but the location is just lovely and we couldn't have asked for me. Bretagne was a brilliant base for our family holiday on the Lizard. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved being in Cadgwith with the fishing village activities going on and being right on the coast path. We would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic stay at the cottage and really enjoyed Cadgwith. The cottage is pretty much equipped with everything you need in a holiday cottage, and more. We booked for next year as soon as we arrived home, which is probably the best endorsement that we can give.

Bretagne has a very bright interior and that makes it a very welcoming place. You can walk very easily to the village harbour along a foot path. Cadgwith is an unforgettable place.

The house is spacious, well equipped and fresh. Location is wonderful, a short walk away, less than 5 mins is the village front which is probably one of the most picturesque places in the country. Coastal walks are phenomenal. Cadgwith Cove Inn is welcoming and has lovely food, with the folk night on a Tuesday and the Sea Shanty on a Friday well woRead morerth joining in, after a few pints (for me anyway) as anyone is welcome to sing (our daughter sang and was rewarded with a drink and cheers/claps) - well deserved of all the awards the pub gets. The owners are very friendly. The house is right near to a public parking space in Cadgwith which is handy if you have a lower slung car. The only disappointment is that we couldn't stay forever. Hole heartedly recommend this property. Bright and airy with everything you need. We loved the separation of bedrooms (due to snoring) and the under floor heating. This was enough in January and despite taking logs we didnt have to have a fire, admittedly I was disappointed about this. Something about men and starting a fire!! Dishwasher, cooker anRead mored washing machine all used without a hitch. Said to my partner and Cornish friends that stayed as well. I want to live here. Even Daisy the golden retriever was so relaxed and chilled out. The Cove inn great Friday night with the Cadgwith singers and brilliant food. Easy access onto the coastal path for good walking. Booking again for later in the year. Contact with the owner was easy and staying an extra night was simple and straightforward.. We stay a lot in Cornwall and have done over the past few years. This rates in my top 3 of self catering properties place to stay at. Hide
