This tasteful retreat is situated in the lovely Georgian town of Holt, which boasts a selection of interesting shops, including many antique shops and boutiques, as well as good restaurants, pubs and tea rooms. The Green Flag awarded Holt Country Park has over 100 acres of woodland to discover – great fun for children and dogs alike! On the outskirts of Holt is Holt Railway Station where you can pick up the Poppy Line and enjoy a train ride to Weybourne and Sheringham on a diesel or steam train. Visit one of the many National Trust attractions surrounding Holt, including Blakeney National Nature Reserve, Sheringham Park, Felbrigg Hall and Gardens and Blickling Estate, all conveniently within 6 to 10 miles. The coastal villages of Blakeney and Cley are just 5 miles away, and the sandy beach at Sheringham is just 6 miles. Cley is home to Norfolk Wildlife Trust visitor centre, Cley Marshes Centre, where you can sit in the café and enjoy panoramic views across the marshes or birdwatch from one of the hides.
Upon arriving at this homely and welcoming bungalow, guests will enter the porch which provides a handy space for coats and shoes and a great place to dry muddy paws. Head on through and you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen with plenty of storage and everything you need to serve up a delicious meal of locally sourced produce. The lounge offers a dining table to feast around and comfortable seating on two sofas which are arranged around the Smart TV – a relaxing space to enjoy while watching your favourite programmes or reading a good book. The master bedroom is stylishly decorated and has a king-size bed. The second bedroom is a twin and both bedrooms share use of the family bathroom. The bathroom boasts an indulgent whirlpool bath, perfect for relaxing at the end of a busy day. The conservatory at the rear of the property is accessed via the second bedroom and is a delightful place to unwind after long days exploring in the warmer months.
Heading outside, there is an enclosed garden with raised decking and a lawn below. Spend warm summer evenings watching the sun go down with a glass of your favourite tipple, or brisk mornings with a warm cuppa listening to the bird song.
