Overlooking the picturesque Castlemaine Harbour, this rural cottage is ideally located for a larger family or group of friends who are seeking a getaway by the sea. While staying on the Dingle Peninsula, you’ll be just 3.5 miles from the pristine sandy shores of Inch which is dog-friendly all year round. For a memorable day trip in the car head along the Caherconree Scenic Route (2.5 miles) to the north of the peninsula, where you’ll find the Mountoven Scenic Spot (10.5 miles) and Derrymore Beach (8.5 miles). Visit the dramatic waterfront ruins of Minard Castle (11 miles) and keep heading west to reach the port town of Dingle (18.5) – where you can find a distillery, the An Diseart Chapel and an aquarium.
You’ll be spoilt for choice with sea views throughout this charming cottage. In the lounge, a large bay window looks out onto trees and the passing boats – which can be admired while relaxing on the sofa in front of the flame effect fire*. This room is decorated with wooden furnishings, neutral tones and chandelier-style lighting. Continue into the spacious kitchen/diner where your attention will be drawn to the large glass patio doors which let the fresh air roll in while you cook a meal for your loved ones. A wooden ‘L’-shaped fitted kitchen offers plenty of surface space for preparing food, which can be enjoyed at the dining table in the centre of the room. Also on the ground floor is a utility room, separate WC, family bathroom and three bedrooms – two doubles and a twin room. On the first floor, you’ll find a king-size bedroom.
Host a garden party outside and open a bottle of bubbly while you dine alfresco and admire the sea views.
