Lose yourself in panoramic views across Cushendun Bay from almost every window of this family-friendly four-bedroom coastal cottage with countless walks around the countryside to the coast beginning from the doorstep. Situated in the heart of the Glens of Antrim and the mouth of the River Dun, the historic village of Cushendun is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, being one of the best places in Northern Ireland to spot red squirrels. Pack a picnic and head to Cushendun Beach a mile away to spend hours walking the soft golden sand, skimming stones out to sea and exploring the Red Caves. Head into the village itself to uncover one of the smallest pubs in Ireland as well as some quaint shops. Get closer to nature on the Glens Great Grassland Trail which meanders through meadowland and boasts some fantastic views of the local beaches.
A flight of external stone steps welcomes you into the entrance hallway of the cottage, which leads through to a spacious yet cosy lounge, bathed in natural sunlight from the large picture window that frames superb views of the bay. The space features solid pine flooring and comprises three comfy sofas centred around a TV and roaring open fire. Back through the hallway, you’ll find a well-equipped contemporary kitchen/diner, complete with everything you need to rustle up hearty feasts and dine long into the evening. The en-suite double bedroom and twin bedroom on this level feature a beautifully calm, neutral colour palette, complemented by the same pine flooring as the lounge. You’ll also find a family bathroom on this level. Upstairs comprises another en-suite double and a twin bedroom that features a handy basin.
Outside, the quaint patio area provides the perfect quiet spot to admire the far-reaching countryside views whilst dining alfresco with a glass of something chilled.
