Just a mile from the idyllic fishing village of Spiddal, this welcoming country cottage makes a fabulous base for walkers following the Wild Atlantic Way. Set in the grounds of the owner’s house, the property enjoys breathtaking views and is just half a mile from the coast. The thriving city of Galway is to the east (13 miles) and has a wide variety of pubs, restaurants, galleries, shops and music venues, with attractions including Galway Atlantaquaria, the Spanish Arch, The Latin Quarter, Grattan Beach and Merlin Castle. The area also offers miles of spellbinding coastal walks and beautiful country hikes.

Stepping inside this surprisingly spacious holiday cottage, you will find a welcoming open-plan lounge/diner which makes a relaxing space to get together at the end of a wonderful day. The pine-furnished lounge has plenty of seating and a charming wood burner, with a delightful dining area just behind. The country-style kitchen has ample equipment to help you rustle up your favourite dishes. The ground floor also has the first of the property’s three cheerful bedrooms: a relaxing double, alongside a refreshing bathroom. Heading upstairs, there’s a light and airy landing with space to sit back and curl up with a good book. You will have a choice of two bright and cosy double bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room.

The other first-floor double bedroom has a charming balcony with furniture, offering a perfect space for sitting out with a drink in hand and taking in the stunning far-reaching views. Outside, the open garden has outdoor furniture and provides a charming spot for taking in the surrounding scenery.
