Nature lovers will be spellbound when rewarded with sightings of roe deer, buzzards, barn owls and even dippers, whilst you can also say hello to chickens on site and cattle in neighbouring fields. The North Cornwall coast is an easy drive; Bude (16 miles) offers a varied coastline with golden sandy beaches, a surf school, a sea pool and dog-friendly stretches. Horse riding, fishing, golf, archery and alpaca walking can be found nearby too.

There are four bedrooms, two either side of the open-plan area and each being accessed by a small step. To the right is where you will find the two king-size bedrooms, one of which has glass doors opening onto the outdoor terrace with stunning views of the River Torridge and rolling fields. A perfect retreat to enjoy the sunset and al fresco dining. You may even spot an otter or kingfisher if you’re lucky. Alongside these sits a family shower room, with a shower and WC. To the left of the living area are the two double-base bunk rooms, ideally suited to accommodate two guests or a family of three. Each of these bedrooms has the added luxury of en-suite shower rooms.
