3 things required, internet, smart tv and Newley renovated. All not as advertised , we are Currently in dispute with the owner over a ruined Christmas week stay. Before arriving I had read the last review on the no internet, therefore I was fixated on this on arrival. When we arrived, the BT box is blinking orange, The internet doesnt work, I eRead morended up calling the owner to address the router issue, her response was simply to turn it off and on again. Explained one had done this ample times. Well nothing I can do was the response. Therefore I went through the booking company, who couldnt get her to take responsibility eithershe just washed her hands of the situation. I should have asked to be released but as it was Christmas, we had a disabled dog & travelled 4 hours. Where else am I going, so we tried to make the most of it. But Then you start to notice the building feels like its subsidingyou generally will feel like youre walking on a boat, extremely slanted floors and all the doors slam shut on their own. Most of the walls, doors, and ceilings have cracks, the description stating this place newly renovated is very misleading, they even tried to say its just settlement after the makeover. We also ran out of gas half way through , luckily we noticed in the day and it got replaced quickly. Otherwise no heating or hot water. Our last few nights, we had violent scratching and squealing in the roof above the fireplace, shower room and main bedroom, rats or birds? . With all the issues we had, we documented this daily to the booking company and they forwarded it to the owner. Who has completely dismissed our concerns and just keeps saying the last guests didnt mind. Therefore Im leaving this review to ensure no one else makes the mistake of staying here. If you need working internet and undisturbed sleep, make sure all these issues above have been resolved before booking. Hide

A lovely cottage on the edge of a holiday park, the garden was enclosed, with a 4ft fence. Our dogs loved chasing each other around. The hot tub was great, but could have been hotter as we went mid-Oct so you noticed the cold air and the water cooling if you stayed in for a while. We couldn't get the WiFi to work, despite numerous attempts, butRead more as there were no instructions, we weren't sure if it was something we did or didn't do correctly, so we were unable to watch any digital channels not necessarily a bad thing as we read, talked and had a totally chilled out weekend. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of storage space in both bedrooms. It was lovely to have walks on the doorstep for the dogs and we easily covered 5+ miles each day without realising. We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend and are hoping to book again for next year. Hide

This holiday cottage was perfect. It's a lovely quiet area to get away to, and lovely and cozy inside. The hot tub was a great asset as well, especially after a walk around the village and countryside. Would love to come back and stay here again.

As I intimated above the cottage was well maintained, well equipped and located in a very nice spot alongside the Old Bedford River. What could have been ten out of ten was spoilt and made unecessarily stressful because of the seeming lack of communication betwen the holiday park, the owner and us - the guests.

Lovely setting, great location for exploring- absolutely need a car. Local pub closed more than open, in our experience so cant rely on that. Seemed a very dog friendly cottage, could smell previous wet dog aroma - probably more sensitive to this as we dont have a dog. Enjoyed watching the rabbits skipping around outside from patio.

We had a great time in this quirky cottage. Pleasantly surprised with the modern amenities like the dishwasher. Everything in the cottage was perfectly adequate for our needs. The hot tub was a lovely addition with the perfect little patio and view. The garden was perfectly secure for the dogs to have freedom in. Would love to stay again
