Nestled within the village of Broadhempston this end terrace cottage is set amidst charming countryside, offering a tranquil retreat. Perfectly perched within easy reach of nearby popular attractions this cottage serves as an ideal home away from home for families or couples eager to discover the scenic beauty of the South Devon coast. Surrounding the property are expansive moors and inviting footpaths, with Dartmoor National Park located just 6 miles away, providing opportunities for wildlife sightings and stunning panoramic views. Delight in family beach outings, whether at the picturesque Blackpool Sands Beach in Dartmouth (17 miles) or the vibrant Torquay (9.5 miles), known for its scenic harbour and bustling marina. Step inside this period cottage and kick off your shoes and you’re welcomed into the downstairs open-plan kitchen/dining/living area. To your left, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen with a beautiful central island which makes for a great social space even during meal prepping. Opposite, you’ll find the lounge area with comfortable seating around the wood burner and a Smart TV. Situated in the corner, with a quirky window seat and bench, is the dining space that completes the lovely free-flowing space. Upstairs you’ll find the family bathroom, with a shower over bath and WC. To your right is a twin bedroom and finally you’ll come to the charming king-size bedroom and TV.

Outside, you’ll find a courtyard area with a dining space where you can enjoy al fresco dining or a cup of morning coffee. Directly adjacent to the cottage is a communal village children’s play area packed with equipment.

The cottage was delightful and although the location was a little remote, down single tracks with passing points, the country bus service was reliable and efficient. However, a lot of the fields were locked and we were unable to let our dog off the lead apart from one field, which was a little restrictive. Apart from that our stay in the cottage Read morewas just what we needed, with a lovely and friendly community vibe. Hide

Very cute clean cottage, home from home, everything you needed for a stay to be as comfortable as possible. We enjoyed staying there. Very quiet area, just what was needed from the hussel & bussel of daily life.
