This is a cosy welcoming cottage in a quiet location. Beautiful walks from the door and such a lovely place to return to. The kitchen is well equipped and the Esse range is a delight to use. We saw a barn owl from the bedroom window one morning. Parking is about 100m up the road and the outside is a little unsuitable for those less mobile. Fantastic cottage located just outside of Hawes village, quiet location but easy walking distance into the village. Probably one of the best cottages we have stayed at. The cottage was renovated to a high standard, keeping original features although adding modern touches to make it a comfy stay. Would highly recommend a stay here.

The property was really well presented, you could see the owners had put a lot of work into it. The bedrooms were lovely, beds really comfortable and the whole property immaculately clean. Kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed. Front room was a cosy family space and I imagine would be very inviting in winter with the log burner Read moreon. The whole area around Hawes was picturesque with plenty options for walking and great food, the street was quiet and it was only a short walk into the town so a good base for exploring the area. Only downside I would say is that the garden isn't a safe space for younger children and isn't really accessible unless you're fit and confident ascending and descending very large steps with no rails. Cottage itself is lovely and the garden is charming but it isn't useable on a practical level as an outside space for a family or older person. Hide

Hill Well House was fabulous. We had a great week in early May. We loved everything about the cottage. The fire, comfortable sofas, the fully equipped kitchen and the quality of the bedding were stand outs. It was also impeccably clean and kitted out with very effective heating. Gayle is pretty and just 10 minutes easy walk from the pubs, cafesRead more and shops in Hawes. We would love to come back. Thank you Hide
