The positioning of the property ensures maximum privacy, with the benefit of having the owners on hand should you ever need anything. Embrace the warming sounds of twigs underfoot during leisurely strolls with your canine companions. Visit the popular coastal haven of Bude (18 miles) which has something for everyone with its plethora of shops, cafes and expansive sandy beach ideal for surfing and paddleboarding, complemented by scenic coastal walks and a refreshing sea pool. Discover nearby attractions, including Dartmoor National Park (13 miles), the captivating Launceston Steam Railway (14 miles), and a variety of National Trust sites within just 20 miles and Roadford Lake (4 miles) which invites you to try your hand at abseiling, paddleboarding, canoeing or you could simply take a leisurely stroll around the enchanting lake.

Completing the downstairs is a separate WC. When the night draws in, make your way up the stairway which will bring you to the four bedrooms. These are made up of two spacious kings, both with accompanying en-suite shower rooms, whilst the other two bedrooms host twin beds. The family bathroom completes this wonderful cottage, with a bath, separate shower and WC.

There is plenty to do whilst making the most of these views including relaxing in your own private hot tub, soak up and enjoy a Devon sunset or gaze at the stars on a clear night, whilst children can enjoy burning some energy in the shared games space, or creating games in the 3.5-acre shared Willow Walk. We had a fabulous holiday, helped by the weather. The owners are on hand if you need them but not at all intrusive. The cream tea and doggie treats on arrival were very much appreciated. The whole group enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table. The accommodation is immaculate, very clean and comfortable. Also very quiet but not completely remote. An absolute gem of a find. If you have dogs and/or kids it would be hard to fine somewhere more ideal in this type of location. And for those without kids or dogs it is kept immaculately. The games room in the cottage not only has a super pool table but is kitted out with tons of games, for indoor and outside use. The shared games area and paddock Read moreare a great additions. All rooms are spacious with very little wear, including the bathrooms and en-suites, plus everything works. Kitchen is very well equipped. The owners are attentive without being intrusive, they obviously take great pride in their business. The complimentary cream tea went down a treat with everyone. I am a very reluctant reviewer but on this occasion found compelled to do so. 6 adults, 2 kids and 3 dogs...Perfect! Hide

My family, the dog and I have just returned from a week long easter break at Fern Gully. What a wonderful place it is. The position of it is what first strikes you - on arrival we were met with the quintessential rolling countryside views to the rear. Inside the cottage is extremely spacious and very clean and well equipped. Its like every little tRead morehing has been thought of from the welcome cream teas to the well stocked games room. Personal highlights for me were the log fire, the hot tub, the childrens book collection for bedtime stories and the overall attention to detail. I liked how the garden was fully enclosed so we could let the dog out and not have to worry. The all important internet for the kids games and Netflix was up to task. The owners popped by on the first morning to make sure everything was ok and they were really friendly. Overall the whole experience was super chilled and really like a home from home. Id be happy to go back and would recommend to anyone looking to take a family break. Hide
