This luxurious, spacious lodge makes the perfect holiday home for family or friends wanting to get together and enjoy quality time in beautiful Welsh surroundings. The lodge is set on private grounds and you instantly start to appreciate the beauty and tranquillity of the lake and surrounding area as you drive to the property. The lodge is situated just 3 miles from the picturesque market town of Rhyader, otherwise known as the outdoor capital of Wales. The town offers plenty of shops selling local produce, and places to eat and drink. You can also enjoy driving, walking, cycling, and canoeing around the Elan Valley (5 miles) and Claerwen Valley (8 miles), as well as experiencing breathtaking views. The magnificent red kites at the feeding centre (3 miles) are also a must-see as well as the National Cycling Museum in Llandrindod Wells (9 miles).

Stepping through the front door, you enter a bright and spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which is a perfect place for socialising and relaxing after a busy day of hiking or cycling around the local area. The contemporary kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to create a tasty meal. The lodge also benefits from a much-loved wood burner which is the perfect addition for the winter months when you just want to snuggle up on the sofa and enjoy a movie. On the ground floor, you’ll also find two super-king-size zip-and-link bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite wet room. There is also a second separate wet room on the ground floor. On the first floor, there are two spectacular super-king-size zip-and-link bedrooms with free-standing baths in the bedrooms, en-suite wet rooms and Smart TVs. The front bedroom includes a balcony that overlooks the lake, while the rear bedroom overlooks the beautiful countryside.

Head outside and you’ll find a delightful, enclosed terrace, with a six-person hot tub, and a dining table and chairs. This area is fully covered, so can be enjoyed whatever the weather. Enjoy some al fresco dining using the charcoal BBQ situated on the lawned area or embrace the serenity of starry nights nestled by the crackling fire pit, where tranquil surroundings and lakeside views picture pure relaxation. Create unforgettable memories in the games room, where a pool table, TV, football table, dart board and table tennis promise endless hours of laughter and friendly competition.

Great property in a lovely area of Wales. Lots of walking opportunities and Rhaeadr Gwy is worth looking round

We had a fantastic time in Wales in a beautiful location visiting various parts of Powys and South Wales including the Kite feeding event in Rhayader, New Quay to see the dolphins, Devils Bridge to see the waterfall, Merthyr Tydfil to ride a steam train and Ellen Valley to see the stunning scenery which was all over wherever we travelled. The cottaRead morege had ample space and fantastic facilities and was situated in a very secluded location with wildlife all around. This is a beautiful Lodge. It came with the unexpected use of a games room which is great for kids in wet weather. The hot tub was a great size and very clean. Good location for travelling (driving) to other places and plenty of parking space. The whole place is spacious with very good decor and very comfortable and clean. The lodge is the perfect place for family or friends to come together and enjoy a restful time away. Plenty to do and see and was even invited by the owners to visit their farm to see the new lambs. We have just returned from the most beautiful holiday in the gorgeous lodge and setting. It was a small slice of pure relaxation and Andrew was brilliant & responsive if we needed anything. We had brilliant weather and the surrounding area was so lovely for walking or just viewing. Definitely go back again just perfect!

Just back from a wonderful stay at Red Kite Stargazing Lodge. The lodge is stunning, with everything you could possibly need. The large decking area with hotub is a lovely place to relax and unwind with friends & family. It is so quiet and peaceful here. The small town of Rhayader is only a few minutes drive away with places to have a bite to eat. Read moreThe Flag & Lamb being our favourite pub to eat in. We absolutely love this cabin, amazing space with a home feeling to it. Everything was decorated to perfection and had everything we needed from the microwave to the oven. The amazing views take it to another world. I definitely will be coming back to this amazing cabin. I miss it already.
