Gently nestled into the rolling hills of the Longcombe Valley, this beautifully designed grand-designed barn conversion sits on 20 acres and is the perfect retreat for those looking for something unique. Longcombe itself perches near the charming town of Totnes, thus offering picture-postcard walking trails and the ear-teasing sounds of crackling twigs underfoot moments from your doorstep, adding a sublime backdrop for your idyllical Devon getaway. The quaint village exudes a timeless charm with its picturesque landscapes, enveloping visitors in a sense of tranquillity. Explore the nearby medieval town of Totnes (2 miles), known for its unique boutiques, artisanal shops, and a vibrant local market. The surrounding areas unfold a tapestry of natural wonders, from the meandering River Dart to the lush greenery of Dartington Hall Gardens (4 miles). The home also acts as a gateway to many South Devon treasures, including the historic Totnes Castle (3 miles) and the scenic Dartmoor National Park (9 miles).

Feel relaxed from the moment you arrive at this beautiful reverse-level home, slipping off those sandy shoes or well-used walking boots before opening your eyes to the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with attention to detail, eco features and stylish accents throughout. The opening space is a well-thought 120 sq. ft open living area hosting underfloor heating, making it easy to truly relax on your choice of comfortable seating in front of the Smart TV. There is also a built-in wood burner, allowing you to take in the warming crackle of logs on those chillier nights. The large dining table provides plenty of seating for up to 10 guests whilst the kitchen hosts all the appliances needed for a stress-free stay, in addition to further seating on the breakfast bar. The ideal spot to sit with that morning cuppa to plan the day’s adventures ahead. If that wasn’t enough, here you’ll find a steel spiral staircase with a glass balustrade which guides you up to the mezzanine snug, a perfect spot for enjoying an evening tipple under a star-lit sky. Making your way through the home will lead you through the additional reception room, functioning predominately well as a games room with further cosy seating, a Smart TV ready for a Wii console along with a variety of toys, books and board games. There is a staircase from here which will then lead you downstairs where you’ll find the bedroom and bathroom spaces. There are 4 bedrooms on the ground floor, 1 6ft sleigh bedroom with a Smart TV, a walk-in wardrobe and a spectacular en-suite bathroom with his n' hers showers and freestanding bath with views down to the valley. And 1 super-king-size room with an en-suite shower and WC with views out to the courtyard. The two further rooms can be adjusted upon request, either being king-size beds or split into two singles. For additional guests and an additional charge the Master and a double bedroom can have an extra single bed added and there is a double sofa bed in the playroom. Completing this marvel of a home is the family bathroom with bath, separate walk-in shower and WC. There is also a separate downstairs WC and a utility room for added convenience.

This stylish home continues the trend to the outside where guests have plenty of room to roam or relax on the large patio area. The space features an outdoor dining table with seating, a choice of sun loungers and seating, coal BBQ and outside lighting, allowing you to take to the fire pit and relax with your loved ones.

Wow, what a beautiful barn conversion. A great place to stay for a large family group. We rented the barn over the Christmas period and everything couldn't have been more perfect. The large open living area on the main floor is absolutely perfect, the kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with all modern appliances and a huge island area which wRead moreas perfect for sitting around for a chat whilst preparing our dinners. The dining area has a very large table with seating for 8 people and the lounge area has two large comfy sofas and a wood burner for those cosy winter evenings. Up above the kitchen is a beautiful mezzanine floor with seating for those quieter evenings and the addition of windows in the roof allows you to gaze up peacefully at the stars. There is a separate lounge area/snug off of the main living area which also leads you to the staircase to the lower floor where there are 4 beautiful double bedrooms, 2 of which are en-suite. The Master bedroom is truly very special, with the biggest en-suite I have ever seen. Both Joanne and Simon were there to greet us soon after we arrived and answered any questions we had about the barn. They are a lovely couple who clearly have a very good eye for detail and cant thank them enough. All in all I would highly recommend this property for larger family groups who are looking for something with more class than your normal holiday rental property. Hide

Wonderful hosts providing extra logs and glassware proactively. Really loved the location and the stay was perfect for 8 of us with our dogs. It is hard to find in the dark so best arriving in daylight if you can.
